Use bars or columns to compare groups such as regions. Start with one measure and a small number of categories; use a combination or KPI only when your question needs the extra measure or target.

Both combination types also accept explicit bubble and histogram layers. See Cartesian sample layers for channel ownership, category/sample X identity, named axes, layer order and complete-bin semantics. This does not enable arbitrary chart-family composition.
